ZedPay is a personal project turned portfolio centerpiece. Originally designed in 2023 and redesigned in 2024, it is a mobile banking app built to help users deposit money, transfer funds, and pay bills with ease. It merges simplicity, warmth, and security into one cohesive platform.

Challenges Faced

Designing ZedPay was not difficult in terms of execution but required deep attention to detail. Being the first full fintech platform I worked on, I needed to ensure everything I included was intentional. From copy to UI elements, I constantly checked each screen’s relevance. It was a large-scale project at the time and one that demanded clarity and confidence.

• User Surveys & Feedback Loops:

Conducted surveys among different age groups to understand their pain points and preferred workflows.

• Simplified Home Screen Layout:

Grouped major services clearly with visual categories and easy tap areas, ensuring quick access for users at any skill level.

• Dual-Mode Accessibility:

Integrated both Light and Dark modes to cater to different visual comfort needs.

• Reseller Tools Highlight:

Clearly separated personal use features from reseller opportunities, making the platform flexible for business-minded users.

• Minimalist Approach for Wide Demographic:

Large touch targets, big readable fonts, and a clean visual hierarchy to make navigation intuitive across all devices.

Conclusion

ZedPay is more than an app, it’s proof of design maturity and vision. It reflects how fintech should feel in the hands of users. Secure but never cold. Simple but never shallow. Friendly but never unserious. It earned its place in my portfolio not only for what it achieved visually, but for the doors it opened in the fintech space.
